How it came together
iArts, who represent Weigl's work across East Asia, brought this commission for the lobby of The Landmark in Taipei: a Contour piece built around the movement of water, sized to an architectural brief for the space itself.
The goal was precise: something substantial enough to hold its own in the room, without taking it over; a piece that felt built for the space, not simply matched to it. Weigl developed two or three directions, and the client's own instinct settled on the one now installed.
