How it came together
iArts, who represent Weigl's work across East Asia, brought this commission for the lobby of The Landmark in Taipei. Working with the same instinct behind his water-based Contour work elsewhere, flow, movement, the sense of people passing through a space, Weigl developed two or three directions for the lobby, advising toward the one he felt suited the space best. The client agreed, and that design became the piece now installed.
The result was very well received, and the relationship helped iArt strengthen its position with the developer behind The Landmark, opening the door to further work across the group's wider real estate portfolio.
